>YNWA

I swear you're the only person I know who's remotely positive on Emerson.

Funny you should mention Konno and Kajiyama, they (as the team's defensive midfielders) got a C- ranking from Weekly Soccer Digest on the big scale.

You'd really put Otake at left midfielder over Hanyu? I'd say maybe a halftime substitution... I do want to see Otake get more playing time but his performances haven't been the greatest so far.

In any case, I think we'll see the Tokyo we were expecting before the season started. Looking forward to enjoying one of those half-priced beers after the game, eh?

Great to hear you talking Hirayama up dokool. He may be painful and frustrating to watch at times, but his height and presence always causes jangled nerves among opposing defences.
I also think he allows Cabore to play a freer role, wandering around, picking the ball up from deeper areas knowing that Sota is there to hold the ball up for him. OK, the phrase "Good feet for a big man" has rarely been used when referring to Sota, but he offers far more in linking-up play from midfield to attack than Akamine (woeful so far) or Fat Yusuke (a waste of space apart from his goal against The Oranges - which I admit was excellent).
Bruno's fit but I can't see Jofuku dropping either Konno or Casualyama, so why not give him a run at centre back? Moniwa and Hiramatsu haven't done much to convine in two games, and Bruno played there for Sapporo.
With that in mind, but predicting Jofuku won't have the guts/balls to pick this team, here's my XI for tomorrow:
Gonda
Tokunaga Sahara Bruno Nagatomo
Ishikawa Konno Casualyama Otake
Cabore Hirayama
Whatever team he puts out, let's just hope they put up more of a fight (or if not I hope they haven't lost Emerson's phone number!)
Home win!
Up the Gasmen!
